About Us
Our History
In the pioneer era (Winsor Home), Bill and Sue Cannon founded what is now known as Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary.
The Metcalf family purchased the mortuary in 1967 and has been dedicated to renovating and enlarging the facility to accommodate the rapidly growing community. Over the years, a beautiful Chapel was added along with visitation rooms, arrangement rooms, the region's largest casket display room, and the area's first crematorium and dignified family observation room.
Kenneth Metcalf set the highest standard in serving Washington County. He was known for unmatched compassion, service, and skill in caring for families. His legacy continued with his son, K. Ron Metcalf, for over 40 years. Todd C. Bonzo has been part of the Metcalf family for over 33 years. He has worked side by side with Ken and Ron and continues to uphold the legacy of unparalleled caring and service.
Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary and Cremation Center continues to be the “Choice of more Southern Utah families.” Our experienced Funeral Directors will continue to honor the legacy of guiding and caring for each family we serve with dignity.
As we move forward with compassion and optimism, we will continue to offer our personal commitment to providing innovative, exceptional, and caring service, delivering the best value to those we serve.
